The entry to the home is
where career and opportunities come into the
home. If the bathroom is located directly in
front of the entry, your opportunities could
flow out immediately.
 |
You can help prevent
a loss of opportunity by always closing
the bathroom door and toilet lid (when
not in use) to prevent the unnecessary
escape of chi.
|
 |
Lots of lighting,
good ventilation and cleanliness are
essential to a proper Feng Shui
bathroom. As with other rooms, a lot of
mirrors are important to reflect chi and
keep it moving around the room and
throughout the house.
|
 |
To help resolve the
situation of the toilet being located in
the center of the house (the prosperity
part), place a full-length mirror on the
bathroom/toilet closet door. The mirror
will help deflect chi and also create an
illusion of the bathroom/toilet not
being there.
|
 |
Don't allow dripping
faucets or dirty fixtures to be a part
of your bathroom. A dripping faucet is a
sign of wasting money.
|
 |
Another way to
counteract opportunity and prosperity
from being flushed away is to keep a
bowl of pebbles or fresh flower
arrangement on the toilet tank or on a
shelf above the toilet. By adding this
element of earth, you will help control
the water.
|
 |
A black or red rug at
the base of the toilet will also provide
protection against wealth loss.
|
 |
Good color schemes
for a properly located bathroom are
light grays, cream colors and pale
blues. If your bathroom is located in
the center of the house, paint it red.
The fire element will increase income
and therefore counteract the drain on
wealth.

Buy a wooden bed if
you have the choice. Metal beds can
conduct electricity, which can be a
health concern. Try not to place
anything electrical near your bed, and
do not use electric blankets (even if
they are plugged in but not turned on
they can be harmful!), heating pads or
massage pads.
|
 |
Check the lighting
level to see if it is not too harsh
(yang) or too dim (yin). Listen for
distracting sounds and try to alleviate
or remove them.
|
 |
Avoid large living
plants in the bedroom.
|
 |
Avoid large mirrors
in the room if you are not sleeping
well.
|
 |
Avoid sharp metal
within the bedroom (knives, axes,
swords, guns, scissors, etc.).
|
 |
Create a headboard
for the bed and place it against the
most solid wall in the room. If your bed
is in line with a doorway, hang a
crystal between the bed and that area.

 |
The kitchen should not be north facing. Chinese
believe that evil spirits come from the north
and if the kitchen is north facing then there
are greater chances of accidents occurring in
the kitchen. If the kitchen is north facing then
hang wind chimes and crystals from the windows
and doorways to counter the negative effect. |
 |
The kitchen sink signifies water and the kitchen
stove represents fire. It would be best if both
these were not placed next to each other in the
kitchen. |
 |
The stove in the kitchen should be positioned in
such a way that you can see anyone entering the
kitchen. |
 |
Your back should not be to the door while you
are cooking. Placing a mirror on top of the
stove will allow the cook to see anyone entering
the kitchen and will counter this problem. |
 |
The area around the stove should be well lit and
well ventilated. This will reduce the Sha Chi. |
 |
White is the best color for your kitchen. White
signifies purity and promotes good health and
will ensure that the food cooked is pure. |
 |
Cutlery should not be stored in areas where
there is stagnant energy. Sharp objects have
negative energy and they will affect your
health. Put cutlery in a drawer closest to the
door or a window. |
 |
It is not good to have a toilet near the kitchen
as it produces negative energy. If there is a
toilet keep the door closed and the toilet seat
down and place a Bagwa on the toilet door. |
 |
For good feng shui, do not to have your kitchen
close to the main door or to the back door,
where the energy can easily esc-ape. |
